Weekend in Las Vegas

This past weekend we went to Las Vegas to visit Trent's family. His grandfather lives there, and his parents came to see him. They also brought Trent's sister Brittany and her two children. We had not yet seen her baby so we would finally be able to do that. The day before we went to Las Vegas, we first drove to Lake Havasu City and stayed the night there. I've heard of Lake Havasu before, and we were interested in seeing it. So we saw the lake, and let the kids play on the playgrounds near the beach. The whole area looked really fun so I think that it would be a neat place to go when it is warm enough to swim. (I did see a family there in their swimsuits, and it was probably in the low '70's - crazy.)

I can't say that we did anything too exciting in Las Vegas. That city has very little appeal to me so we mostly just hung out with Trent's family and let the kids play. Hence, I have no pictures of Las Vegas. Brooke and Eve (Brittany's daughter) played together quite a bit and got along pretty well, especially considering that Eve just turned two and Brooke is nearly five. Of course, Eve is more advanced than most two year olds and has been able to speak in full sentences for quite a while (some of the things she says are pretty funny). Jade and Eve are pretty close in age, and they did play together a little bit also. Jade was interested in the baby, and that was cute. The three girls really liked to play in the bathtub together, even without water in it. The tub was ridiculously large so the kids thought it was fun just to be in it.

Alexis is three months old.

Eve and Jade sharing goldfish.

Jade is partially laying on the coffee table; everytime I see this picture, I initially think that it is sideways.

"Mommy take a picture of me chasing the birds!" This is at Lake Havasu.

Trent, Brooke and Jade at Lake Havasu.

Brooke in Lake Havasu City.

The whole family in Lake Havasu City (the white spot on my face is light peaking through the leaves of the tree on the left -- it makes me look funny when the picture is this small).

Trent, Brooke and Jade standing in front of the London Bridge in Lake Havasu City -- sounds more impressive than it is.

Random picture of Jade and Trent--I just think that the expression on Jade's face is funny.
